Gordon & MacPhail have unveiled a 64-year-old single malt as the second bottling in their Mr George Legacy series. Wow!
Ahead of Fèis Ìle festival, and six months after breaking ground, Elixir Distillers have announced that their new Islay distillery will be called Portintruan. And I’m going to see it soon, YAY!

Douglas Laing have released “Timorous Beastie Meet the Beast 13 Years Old” a Limited Edition of only 3,000 bottles from their Highland Malt brand. Aged exclusively in ex-American Bourbon barrels for a minimum of 13 years and offered at an alcohol strength of 52.5% without added colour or chill-filtration
Benriach Own Malt!
Benriach have released the second edition of their single malt made entirely from barley malted at its floor maltings. Cool.
Remarkable Loch Lomond!
Loch Lomond have unveiled a 46-year-old single malt as the second bottling in its Remarkable Stills Series….
Dalmore have announced a significant development project at their distillery. An ambitious capital investment programme at the distillery, will see the development of a new whisky-making facility and visitor experience.

Canadian whisky Lot No 40 Dark Oak, made from 100% rye, has been released in in the UK!
Irelands Clonakilty Distillery now officially has whiskey! Happy Days!
I’ve been on various zoom calls featuring some good friends from Campbeltown and Islay over the past week. I’ll be seeing them in person for the first time since lockdown soon. This makes me very happy.
