It’s the penultimate Whisky News of the year, Loungers! And with that in mind we’d like to thank everyone, Exhibitors, Venues, Vendors, Retail Partners, Security Teams, Taxi Drivers, everyone, everyone, LITERALLY EVERYONE we’ve worked with during the year bringing you the only independent, nationwide, Whisky Festivals and events in the country!
And especially we’d like to thank you, our ever-faithful customers for your friendship and support, we appreciate you, and look forward to seeing you all out in the wild in 2023!

Clear as Glass!
Whyte and Mackay are celebrating after master whisky maker Gregg Glass was awarded Master Distiller of the Year at the Icons of Whisky Scotland Awards 2023. The whisky house, which is proud to count The Dalmore, Jura, Fettercairn and Tamnavulin in its portfolio, was also Highly Commended within the Icons’ ultimate Distiller of the Year category. Well done team!
Whisky Auctioneer, are also celebrating a phenomenally successful 2022 after the total hammer price of lots sold through its auctions reached over £50 million. Amazing numbers!

Trace Pass 8 Million Barrels!
Buffalo Trace distillery filled its eighth millionth barrel of bourbon since Prohibition on Thursday 15th Dec. What a landmark!
Glenturret have announced the release of the second single malt whisky in its Trinity Series in Lalique: The Glenturret Prowess.
The second cask strength release from Virginia's A Smith Bowman distillery pushes the limits of high proof whiskey, coming in at 144.5 proof. Wowzer!
Online retailer Dekantā has partnered with Karuizawa Whisky Company to offer the new Japanese distillery’s inaugural bottlings, with the aim of reviving the ‘former prominence of the world-renowned whisky brand’.
Boann Distillery has unveiled their inaugural single pot still bottling, the first time whiskey has been distilled in Drogheda in 160 years. Happy Days!
