Gateshead Whisky News 25.11.22

Hi everyone, it’s been a challenging week here at TWL. Following an excellent Festival in Nottingham at the weekend, we received news that our dear friend and true whisky person Dom Roskrow had passed away. We send our love and thoughts to those close to him as we continue to do our best to contribute positively to the industry he loved.

We’ll see all of you at York Festival on Saturday!

In the meantime, here’s Connas with this week’s whisky news…

Peated Bimber!

The first ever peated Bimber will be here soon! This excites me greatly…

It’s That Time of Year!

Both Glengoyne and Loch Lomond have some intriguing festive offerings for you!

Jacks Day in Court…

The US Supreme Court said on Monday that it will hear a dispute over a dog toy that’s got the folks at Jack Daniel's “barking” (get it!?) mad.

Ardbeg Goes Travelling!

Ardbeg have announced the launch of their first ever series of whiskies exclusive to travel retail: Ardbeg Smoketrails. Cool…

Peak Christmas!

White Peak have revealed a special whisky release in time for the festive period, Wire Works Whisky Virgin Oak Finish

And finally…

As you’ve already seen, this week we lost Dom Roskrow. I spent a week this year on a judging panel with Dom its fair to say that he was an opinionated and passionate person with a truly individual insight into life, and whisky.

Both whisky industry and the world are worse off without him.

Thanks for listening, folks.

See you soon.
