Single Malts of Scotland – Virtual Tasting
September 4 @ 9:00 pm - 10:30 pm
Single Malts of Scotland Virtual Tasting
Some lovely ‘Indie’ Scottish delights for you…
We, here at TWL HQ, love Independent bottlers. Ok, we love all (well most) whisky, but we do have a particular soft spot for the ‘Indies’.
So when we were offered this incredible tasting by our friends at Elixir Distillers, who were we to say no!
The whiskies on tasting represent the some of the latest releases from this now established bottler, from the same good folks who brought you The Whisky Exchange. Like so many other Indies, the Single Malts of Scotland give you the opportunity to taste whiskies that otherwise you would rarely come across as single malts. Plus those you might, but in a different guise, and bottled when they are ready – in the opinion of the bottler – at potentially ‘unfashionable’ age statements.
Our host for the tasting, aside from Eddie himself, will be Elixir Brand Ambassador, Julie Hamilton – a firm friend of TWL, and a great fun and knowledgeable host to boot!
At the accompanying virtual tasting event, on Friday 4th September, we will be joined by Julie Hamilton who will present her whiskies to you, whilst you taste them. She will talk to you a bit about what she does and the whiskies she has chosen for this tasting. At the end of the tasting there will be a Q&A session, where you will get the chance to ask any burning questions you might have.
Fear not if you cannot make the tasting itself, as this will be available to view ‘on demand’ on our Facebook page, after it is streamed live.
The Whiskies on tasting:
Clynelish 8 years old
Glen Elgin 12 years old
Benrinnes 13 years old
Linkwood 12 years old
Orkney 12 years old
Caol Ila 10 years old
You can take part by taking advantage of the exclusive ‘Single Malts of Scotland’ tasting pack. You can view and purchase this tasting pack HERE.
Each pack contains a 20ml sample of each whisky.
We will be broadcasting a ‘taste-a-long’ at home, live video stream on Friday 4th September at 9pm on Zoom and Facebook Live. Don’t worry if you cannot make the live stream, as this will then become a permanent fixture on our FB page. Our Facebook page can be found here;
