Super Indie Whisky Tasting

Meet the ‘Super-Indies’!

Have we got a treat in-store for you!

We thought it was a great time to bring out the independent bottlers. Those who buy casks of whisky from the distillers and brokers of the world, before bottling themselves. The advantages are numerous, from perhaps being bottled as single cask bottlings, cask-strength bottlings and then there is the price advantage. Most independent bottlers charge a small percentage of what the distillers themselves have to. Lower overheads and less elaborate packaging tend to take care of that.

Regardless, the whiskies they have provided for this tasting are truly top-notch and you would be mad (or unlucky) to miss out!

At the virtual tasting event, on Friday 26th June, we will be joined by Doug McIvor (Berry Brothers), Sam Simmons (That Boutique-y Whisky Co.), Ollie Chilton (Single Malts of Scotland), Dr. Andrew Forrester (Scotch Malt Whisky Society), Jess Lomas (Single Cask Nation) and Bruce Farquar (Dram Fool) who will present their whiskies to you, whilst you taste them. Each will talk to you a bit about what they do and the whisky they have provided. At the end of the tasting there will be a Q&A session, where you will get the chance to ask any burning questions you might have following it.

Fear not if you cannot make the tasting itself as this will be available to view ‘on demand’ on our Facebook page, after it is streamed live.
