It is with great sadness that we received news that Duncan McGillivary passed away this week. An engineering genius, and altogether warm hearted, welcoming individual. Largely responsible for the revitalization of Bruichladdich distillery. His loss will be profoundly felt throughout the whisky world. Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and the wider community on Islay. The place will not be the same. RIP.
