Bolstered by whiskey, Irish alcoholic drinks exports grew by 8% in 2019, to reach €1.45 billion, according to a report released by Dublin-based agency, Bord Bia. Happy Days…

Trade bodies have called for an end to US tariffs on certain EU distilled spirits, after research estimated up to 78,600 US jobs could be lost if the tariffs continue or are increased.

And UK drinks firms are being encouraged to explore China for business opportunities, post-Brexit.

Edrington (owners of Highland Park and Macallan among others) have confirmed they will close its Korean operations at the end of March.


  • Ex-wine from Tomatin…

Tomatin have bottled their first ever whisky from a Sauternes Cask. And its only a 42 year-old with a 1977 vintage!
