Brown-Forman have appointed Kirsten Ainslie as assistant blender to Rachel Barrie. Best of luck all!


  • New Lakes!

The Lakes Distillery has launched a new limited-edition single malt whisky, The Whiskymaker’s Editions – Bal Masque.


  • Berrys on the Continent!

Berry Bros & Rudd have rolled out a range of four single cask whiskies from across the Nordics. The Nordic Casks line up includes single casks from Myken – Norway, High Coast – Sweden, Kyrö – Finland and Fary Lochan – Denmark.  You ay get a review of these, very soon!


  • Johnnie is in Edinburgh!

Diageo’s Johnnie Walker Princes Street, the eight-floor new visitor experience for the world’s best-selling Scotch whisky, has been launched in the heart of Scotland’s capital city. And it looks awesome!


  • Oldest. Whisky. Ever!

Gordon and Macphail have bottled and 80-year-old Glenlivet, and they’re auctioning it for charity. I approve of this greatly!


  • Smuggling Brothers Swimming!

Alex and Nick Ravenhall, known as The Whisky Smugglers, swam around Scottish islands Jura and Islay with bottles of whisky strapped to their bodies to raise money for Sea Shepherd New Zealand. Loons! I think I like them!


  • Stagg Jr and Buffalo Trace Success!

Stagg Jr and Buffalo Trace have won big at The American Whisky Masters and and International Spirits Challenge!


  • Rare Karuizawa 1981 on the way!

This summer Karuizawas incredibly rare 1981 vintage single cask malt whiskies are being released in exclusive sets.


  • 1792 Medals!

Judges awarded a total of 10 medals to whiskeys from Barton 1792 Distillery at the 2021 International Spirits Challenge , including five Gold medals for products in the Distillery’s growing bourbon line-up. Very cool..


  • Ireland via Japan!

Roe & Co have released an Irish whiskey that uses Japanese sugi wood and a ‘unique’ maturation process, described as a first for the category. Can’t wait to try this!
