  • New Vintage Laddies!

Bruichladdich Distillery are releasing two new vintages of long-savoured favourites at once; with a new Bruichladdich Bere Barley and a heavily peated Port Charlotte Islay Barley. The Bruichladdich Bere Barley is a 10 year old, distilled in 2011 from the 2010 harvest of Orkney grown Bere. And the Port Charlotte Islay Barley is distilled in 2013 from the 2012 harvest. Cool…


  • BenRiach from the Floor!

Benriach have released Benriach Malting Season, the first expression in a century to be produced entirely using barley malted from the Speyside distillery’s historic floor maltings. I like this, a lot!


  • Auction Stuff

A collection of over 500 American whiskey expressions ranging from the pre-prohibition era to the present day are coming to online auction on Whisky Auctioneer.


  • Prima Ultima Two!

Diageo have unveiled the second release of its collectable Prima & Ultima series, retailing for £23,500. Wow!


  • Gordon and MacPhail ‘levits!

Gordon & MacPhail have bottled seven Glenlivet whiskies to mark the release of its oldest single malt to date. Very nice…


  • Princes Street Opening!

Diageo are set to open the doors to its flagship Johnnie Walker visitor centre in Edinburgh on 6th September! I’m very much looking forward to having a look!


  • Professor Smokehead!

Rapper Professor Green and Dragons’ Den investor Stephen Bartlett have partnered with Smokehead whisky to produce a limited edition rulebook made for burning.


  • Aston Bowmore

Bowmore have unveiled three limited edition bottle designs for global travel retail as part of their collaboration with Aston Martin. Very Swish!


  • Catoctin in the UK!

  • Glenfarclas Growing!

Glenfarclas have been given planning permission to build two new warehouses. The more the merrier!


  • Glenlivet Open!

Glenlivet have refurbished and reopened their visitor centre. Happy Days!


  • Cask Strength Laphroaig!

Laphroaig have unveiled the 2021 editions of their 10-year-old and 25-year-old cask strength single malts. Part of batch 13, and both whiskies have matured in ex-Bourbon casks.


  • Metal Saves!

Dewar’s has created an eco-friendly metal box for its 12-year-old and 18-year-old blended Scotch whiskies. Great work!


  • Benromach Contrasts!

Benromach have announced the launch of a new expression, from its Contrasts range. Benromach Peat Smoke Sherry Cask Matured (46% ABV) with a peat smoke level of 55ppm, was matured exclusively in first-fill Sherry hogshead casks.
