Festival Masterclasses

What’s it all about?

Festival Masterclasses are the perfect chance to get up close and personal with some of the ‘whisky worlds’ finest speakers. Enjoy a relaxed and intimate tasting, away from the hustle and bustle of the main festival. Each Masterclass will be different, depending on who’s running it and what the focus of the tasting is. Here you’ll get to taste some amazing drams, ask questions and actually converse with the people who know them best!

Click on the Masterclasses tab at the top of the page to find out more!

The Festival Shop

This year we have the fabulous House of Malt running the festival shop within the show. Ben and his team will be on hand to help with your past, present and future purchasing requirements!

…will keep appearing here at regular intervals, please keep checking back to see what distilleries are in store for you!

About our water sponsors for 2020

We are always searching for interesting and worthwhile businesses – like ours – to get involved with. This year we are delighted to announce we are entering into a partnership with Larkfire. We have always extolled the virtues of adding good quality spring water to your whisky, rather than tap water or mineral water, if possible. Larkfire source their water from the Isle of Lewis, which as you can imagine is super-pure, but you can read all about the virtues of this on their website.

As part of this partnership, Larkfire will be available at all exhibitor tables for the purpose of adding to your whisky. It will also be available to buy from the festival shop on the day, if you care to try for yourself at home.

The boring bit

Please, please ensure you buy tickets for the right session. We set strict limits on the number of tickets for each session so visitors can enjoy their whisky at their own pace. We are unable to swap tickets on the day. But, we’re mostly all human, so if you do buy the wrong session by accident, give us a call or email as soon as possible and we’ll do our best to sort out the muddle.

To book your place at a masterclass, you will need a separate ticket for each. We add more details about the masterclasses before the event, so be sure to check back regularly.

Your ticket will be emailed to you as we do not send out paper tickets. If you are purchasing tickets as a gift for somebody else and you would like PDF tickets emailed to you, please email info@thewhiskylounge.com, stating the name(s) of the recipients.

Please note: ‘last pour’ is always 15 minutes prior to the session end time. This is non-negotiable!

All attendees must be 18 or over – photo ID may be required.

This venue does have disabled access via an appropriate ramp and/or lift.
If in doubt or you have any questions, please contact us at info@thewhiskylounge.com
